Fruit Loop Train (32k)-
A side view of the end car(s) and the shared bogie car(s), there are 2 of each. It took
several Classic Train sets to acquire all the windows needed for 4 passenger cars. I used
2 different types of technic pins (see shared bogie below) so one side is
"permanent" and the other lifts easily off in order to make it simple to set the
cars on the track.
FLT (17k) - A side
view of the original, ill fated, single axle shared bogie. This was an attempt at the
Talgo; first inspired by an Amtrac train trip I took from Portland to Seattle, in early
1999.
Shared boogie (17K)
- A top view of the shared bogie design. Note the ½ stud offset to pull the adjacent cars
as close as possible with colliding the vestibules around corners. Also the 1x4 black
tiles add strength to the 3 axle bogie.
