This page tracks the current list of "open issues" relevant to charter deliverables. Issues to be tracked should be submitted to David Putzolu (david.putzolu@intel.com).

ForCES General Issues

Issue #1: Protocol Selection: With the framework and requirements nearing completion, a model having been selected as the basis of work for ForCES, and two protocol proposals having been made for ForCES, it has become necessary to determine what method will be used to select which protocol approach will be used for ForCES. The chairs have asked the WG to provide input on this topic.

Status: Open – The WG has a consensus around using a protocol evaluation document. The chairs will soon be sending out a draft version for WG review.

ForCES Framework Issues

Issue #1: IESG Review: The Framework document is currently being reviewed by the IESG. Comments are expected shortly..

Status: Open.

ForCES Requirement Issues

Issue #1: FE Topology Requirements: draft-ietf-forces-requirements-10 had architectural and protocol requirements mandating that FEs provide inter-FE topology information to CEs. The chairs reviewed the issue and proposed a resolution which met with some concern. The change to the architecture requirement was accepted, but the protocol requirement change led to further discussion and was ultimately resolved with new text to relax the requirement.

Status: Closed – changes to be made during authors’ 48 hour period.
