ForCES met at IETF 62 in Minneapolis, MN, USA, on
March 7, 2005. 

After the traditional agenda bashing and status reporting,
we started to discuss the draft-ansari-forces-discovery-01.txt
as the authors have asked to make it a WG document. The draft
is on FE topology discovery inside a network element. Before
the meeting there was already a animated discussion on the
list. The list as well as in the meeting the group accepted
the draft as a WG document. Joel then presented the progress
in the model draft. There is still a list of open issues but
it is progressing. Avri presented a similar presentation on
the ForCES protocol draft. Both drafts have to go hand in
hand as they depend on each other. We hope to do a last call
on both of these drafts this year. Then a version 01 draft
on TCP/IP based TML was presented. As the group knows that
we need TML we adopted that draft a WG document without
opposition. But is was clear that a number of changes will
be needed.
